While most Japanese practice or take part in Buddist or Shinto rituals during weddings, funerals, and seasonal events, they would not consider themselves religious. There are however people who do consider themselves relgious and for those people they require a place of worship. While not as easy to find as in other countries, they do exist and are just as welcoming to those practicing similar faiths.

The places of Worship listed below cater to the Christian, Catholic, Jewish and Islamic faiths. Most places cater to English speakers, but some only hold services in Japanese.
